What to expect?
As a BESS Engineer in the Innovation team, you will drive the entire life cycle of algorithms designed to support our customers in monitoring and managing their renewable energy assets. This includes everything from initial concept and prototyping to testing and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that DNV battery storage technology expertise flows into algorithms and eventually into software offerings
- Transforming the designed algorithms into Python code
- Maintaining close technical collaboration with the GPM software teams to integrate algorithms into products Taking part in innovating and enhancing GPM offerings by building relationships with customers to discover market requirements and goals, ensuring GPM delivers exceptional value.Conveying GPM plans in an easy-to-understand manner and help deploy our analytics solutions to the portfolio of our Customers
- Participating in internal and external feedback sessions to ensure battery storage specific algorithms are scalable and easy for broad implementation.

QualificationsWhich skills to bring?
- To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: Educational background in Engineering or another relevant field
- 3+ years of experience with operational complexity of Battery Energy Storage Systems BESS, acquired within the renewable energy or automotive (EV) industries
- Demonstrable domain knowledge of battery storage operation and maintenance practices and technology
- Knowledge of monitoring and/or optimizing battery performance to ensure efficient energy storage and delivery
- Python coding skills
- Full professional proficiency in written and oral English.
And if you’ve got these in your back pocket, consider it a bonus to have:
- Experience of processing SCADA data in general or battery storage data to create meaningful insights for asset owners and operators
- Experience in energy dispatch optimization
