central Breda offices. As a Carbon Consultant, you'll collaborate with a
dedicated international team to guide clients in maximizing their impact in
carbon markets.
Responsibilities:
- Client Support: Assist clients in
understanding carbon certification processes and identify opportunities
for impact maximization.
- Project Development: Align clients' carbon
reduction projects with requirements and facilitate realization.
- Methodology Development: Collaborate on innovative carbon certification methodologies, ensuring
compliance with industry standards.
- Data Analysis: Evaluate client data for life
cycle carbon impact, perform eligibility checks, and ensure comprehensive
carbon accounting.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with industry experts and certification bodies to stay
informed on carbon sector developments.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports supporting clients, utilizing strong analytical
and presentation skills.
- Adaptability: Tackle projects from diverse
sectors, understanding each client's unique carbon challenges and
opportunities.
- Strategic Assurance: Provide analysis and advice
for strategic business choices based on client cases.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's/Master's in environmental science, sustainability, or related
field. Additional certifications in LCA or project management are
advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in carbon
certification, accounting, or related fields, with expertise in
methodology development.
- Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of voluntary
carbon markets, emission quantification, credit trading, and
sustainability issues. Proficiency in data analysis and strong
communication skills.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English
(written/spoken); additional languages, especially Dutch, are a plus.
- Passion for Sustainability: Genuine interest in driving positive change through carbon reduction and
offsetting efforts.
