As the Director, Renewable Energy you will be responsible for the planning, executing, and reporting of all activities related to solar development, battery deployments and other emerging renewable energy generating technologies. This position is tasked with optimizing Link’s strategic renewables deployment across a national portfolio, maximizing deployment and ensuring the best overall value for the firm.
The Director, Renewable Energy will work with the internal & external stakeholders from initial need identification to final goods or service delivery. Specifically, this role will be responsible for the following process: demand management, supplier and partner identification, sourcing execution, contract negotiation, delivery planning and monitoring, purchase execution, and ongoing performance management and improvement for all sourced partners. This position will report directly to the Vice President, Head of Building Solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Redesign Link’s renewables program in a manner that adds value and efficiency to the organization
Establish, communicate, and implement short & long-term goals for the department in order to meet established Environment & Sustainability goals
Develop, communicate, and administer renewables performance metrics, standard operating procedures, & training plan
Serve as the primary contact for renewables related questions, recurring reporting, training, policy, and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments
Meet regularly with respective departments regarding for their understanding and/or recommendations to enhance policies, procedures
Work across departments to identify opportunities to support our sustainability team through currently viable renewable product offerings and identify emerging technologies for future programs
REQUIREMENTS:
BA or BS in relevant field of study (Engineering, Real Estate, Business Management or similar)
Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience
History of creating value through the implementation of sustainability initiatives
Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal; excellent active listening skills
Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
Forward-looking with a holistic approach
Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
$160,000 - $200,000 represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
