What will you do?
The Project Manager is responsible for achieving the project’s objectives. They work closely with the Project Executive, Project Sponsor and Project Team to define the project objectives, create a plan, and execute the plan to achieve those objectives. The Project Manager has a working knowledge of the technical and organizational environments in which the project deliverables are created and will be used. They may also assist in the strategic planning for the department. The Project Manager must have strong communication skills, verbal and written at all levels within the project environment, be proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities, and be adaptable to a dynamic and geographically disbursed project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for compliance of Schneider Electric Quality Standards and Processes.
- Responsible for meeting the scope, schedule, and budget commitments reflected in the Project Management Plan.
- Responsible for overall project KPIs, including profitability
- Obtains, organizes, and maintains all project contract documents
- Receive, organize, and review information from the commercial or project development team - prepares project revenue forecasts and schedule of values
- Reviews and approves material and subcontract invoices for payment
- Prepares and delivers final project closure and documentation to customers
- Lead the Project Team in developing and managing the Project Management Plan within the constraints established and approved by the Project Sponsor.
- Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents in accordance with Schneider Electric quality policy
- Coordinates project in accordance with contract documents and approved sales estimate
- Schedule and conduct project meetings
- Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
- Collaborate with resource managers and/or organizational management to obtain adequate resources with appropriate skills to staff the project team.
- Manages resources by planning, scheduling, and forecasting manpower and resource requirements
- Manages subcontractors to deliver high quality deliverables and installation on schedule
- Manage the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside of the project team’s scope of responsibility.
- Continually identify and proactively manage project risks & opportunities, ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure.
- Coordinate and direct project closure to customer
- Prepares and delivers final project closure and documentation to customers and ensures final payment
- Management of and responsibility for project change order / Issue logs
- Monitor the project and report the project status to leadership on a regular basis.
- Prepare and update project schedule and cost re-estimates
- Review and approve all team project submittals
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or an equivalent engineering discipline. Master’s degree desired
- Minimum of seven years’ work experience in managing BMS, HVAC, Industrial Controls / Automation, or similar discipline projects.
- Microsoft Project (or similar); experience with Smartsheets a plus.
- Previous work experience as a lead automation/controls engineer desired.
- Previous experience in the data center market desired.
- Knowledge of data center gray and white space desired.

- Must be flexible and able to alternative between multiple projects as workload dictates.
- Potential to accommodate up to 15% domestic and international travel.
