We are currently looking for a Launch Engineers to join our team of consultants on an indefinite basis, located in UK, France, Spain or Turkey
Responsibilities or duties:
- Key interface to customer to provide on-site support during prototype and launch phases of the project
- Ensure smooth launch of new products into production, identify, track and resolve build issues
- Support customer start up meeting - WB meeting - all build launch related meetings
- Plan engineering, quality, rework support for build phase, issue and maintain build support plan
- Ensure adequate material is available at build site for reworks
- Request required facilities at build site to customer (desks, phones, computers, network connection, wifi, rework area and tables, etc)
- Attend customer launch kick off meetings and cascade information to team
- Arrange and run regular meeting with engineering, logistics, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure good communication and alignment before and during laucnh phase
- Attend product design reviews in harness manufacturing plant
- Analyze vehicle specification and generate and maintain the "harness by vehicle build matrix".
- Ensure good communication and alignment before and during launch phase
- Represent in the front line of the customer at launch site
- Manage all aspects of launch at launch site and supervise personnel
- Ensure excellent support is provided to customer during launch phase
- Support "bread board" process where required and diagnostics of electrical function issues.
- Support vehicle builds and advise on EDS package design and systems function issues
- Support prototype and pre-production vehicle diagnostics and then sign off at launch site
- Interface with Logistics team to ensure delivery of parts meets customer requirement
- Liaise with customer manufacturing team for resolution of vehicle manufacturing issues
- Provide initial containment action for job stopper issues where possible/required
- Attend "white board" issues meetings, cascade output for actions and follow up - communicate issues back to design team
- Support AIMS process at customer and communicate with design team for timely resolution
- Feedback to customer with design issue resolution (PR numbers, concern numbers, rework numbers, launch management (AIMS) decks).
- Interface to quality team and EDS manufacturing plants for resolution of quality issues
- Investigate and create EDS design proposals for resolution of vehicle level build issues
