Project summary
Join us for our 2024 Climate Corps- Energy & Water Conservation program! The Energy & Water Conservation program (E&W) is a team-based program for individuals between the ages 18-24. E&W participants (called Corpsmembers) serve on community-based energy and water conservation projects throughout the Denver metro area. Corpsmembers will be enrolled in AmeriCorps—a national community service program.
Opportunity description
Complete a term of service as a Community Climate Education Corpsmember with our Energy & Water Conservation program. This is a team-based program running through the end of 2024. Corpsmembers will help to create and implement a new public outreach and engagement project alongside Denver’s Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency office. Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
Between 18-24 years old. Must be eligible for enrollment in AmeriCorps as a US Citizen, National, or Lawful Permanent Resident. High School Diploma or GED required. English proficiency necessary. This program requires some Corpsmembers to be program drivers; driver eligibility requirements: minimum 21 years old, valid driver's license, and insurable DMV record. A Pre-Service National Service Criminal History Check is required.
Preferred qualifications
Bilingual Spanish speaking applicants strongly encouraged to apply. Must be capable of engaging in physical labor including the ability to lift 50 lbs, conduct repetitive hand and arm motions, and manuever in tight spaces.
