Summary
Together with the technical experts of the organization, the System Architect designs the holistic prosumer solution on the system level. This position reports to the Head of Research and Development.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Takes on responsibility of the technical conception and architecture of the long-term compatibility and the interaction between different products for the US Solar Energy market.
- Assumes full responsibility for a permanent stable system architecture and the technical maintainability over the entire life cycle.
- Looks at the big picture in order to understand the US customer needs.
- Specifies and translates the customers’ requirements into technical solutions on the system level.
- Participates in the creation of the system roadmap.
- Ensures a proper documentation and communication of the system architecture and specifications to all developers.
- Coordinates the internal and external experts/developers to find the most efficient and best technical solution for our customer.
- Prepares analyses of new products and solutions from our competitors.
- Pro-actively searches and evaluates new technologies and sustainable solutions, especially in the field of interfaces and communication.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 4+ years of professional experience in the field of system design or hardware and software architecture of electronic devices, preferred on system level (interaction between more devices).
- Expert in designing the system architecture for the whole Solar Energy product and solution portfolio.
- Expert knowledge of state-of-the-art communication technologies (Ethernet, Modbus, etc.).
- Able to work without supervision, well-organized, independent, and solution-oriented way of working, as well as a high-tolerance for working out solutions of multiple projects at a rapid pace.
- Expert knowledge of interfaces, protocols, and cloud technologies.
- Expert knowledge in coordinating and moderating teams.
- Team player.
