JOB SUMMARY: This position is a Supervisory Grants Management Specialist, GS- 1109-14 working in Falls Church, Virginia for the Division of NWRS-Budget. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Supervisory Grants Management Specialist your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Directs policy and guidance for formulation and implementation of financial assistance (grants and cooperative agreements management). Assists program managers who award grants and cooperative agreements in establishing and strengthening programmatic and fiscal controls on awarding of funds and ensuring recipient's project completion of work and submission of deliverables; Analyzes pending legislation or programs related to financial assistance management and assesses their impact. Coordinates, plans, schedules, and facilitates meetings with internal/external customers; as a subject matter expert, collaborates on program or division teams or initiatives, and/or may lead these collaborative efforts, to research and develop guidance, white papers or other informational resources/job aids focused on specific emergent financial assistance topics. Analyzes and communicates the effect of changes in financial assistance laws, regulations, and policies in coordination with the WSFR Policy Branch and/or FASO Policy & Compliance Branch. Supervises a staff of grants management specialists in accomplishing financial assistance programs and projects and Division goals.
