MAJOR DUTIES: As a Physical Science Technician, you will perform the following duties: Oversees Orbital Safety Analysts (OSAs) as part of a 24/7 operations crew, to include providing technical oversight over a subordinate staff made up primarily of contractors, that includes directing in the completion of assigned tasks, review of work for adherence to guidance, and explanation on work tasks and best practices. Ensures safety of flight issues, including commercial human spaceflight, conjunction analysis, space debris ephemeris updates, commercial satellite owner/operator coordination/ephemeris updates, pre-launch, launch and early orbit support, and database operation. Serves as a senior OSA maintaining a high accuracy data repository of space objects and performs updates that support conjunction assessment and collision avoidance for other active payloads.
