MAJOR DUTIES: You will: Initiate SIP (State Implementation Plans) rulemaking actions and recommendations for approving or disapproving state-submitted SIP revisions after performing review and evaluation of technical, procedural, and regulatory compliance with Clean Air Act (CAA) requirements. Provide expert policy and procedural guidance to state, local, and tribal air agencies, and work with them to develop revisions to State Implementation Plans (SIPs) that are consistent with the Clean Air Act and agency guidance. Provide expert technical assistance to state, local, and tribal air pollution control agencies on control measures and strategies to meet the requirements of the CAA related to National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) and other control programs, including the development or revision of SIPs.
