JOB SUMMARY: This position located in Rock Creek Park, in the Division of Administration .This icumbent reviews and analyzes the overall unit and individual sub-unit budgets to ensure that the preparation and the use of the funds are in accordance with allocations, policies, procedures, laws, and required formats Open to the first 60 applicants or until 05/08/2024 whichever comes first. MAJOR DUTIES: The major duties of the Budget Analyst position include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs budget administration and analysis; including preparing, justifying, reporting on, and executing the budget; and the relationships among program, budget, accounting, and reporting systems. Prepares, justifies, and/or administers the budget for program areas; plans, administers, and monitors expenditures to ensure cost-effective support of programs and policies; assesses financial condition of an organization. Performs financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to interpret quantitative and qualitative data; includes data modeling, earned value management, and evaluating key financial indicators, trends, and historical data. Plans and organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals Uses governmental software systems such as AFS and FBMS to perform budgetary functions, and to review and fund certify contracting action documents and review and prepare contract undelivered order reports for certification.
