Assist in critical logistical and technical support for conducting the established fish stock assessment surveys of the eastern Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands, and Gulf of Alaska. Assist in duties related to mobilization/assembly and de-mobilization/disassembly of scientific equipment and supplies for oceanographic and conservation engineering research cruises and related research projects. Assists in the process for application for state collecting permits, and solicits required reports on research catches, specimens, and samples collected each year under general state permits.
