Project summary

The Maryland Climate Corps is part of the Service Year Option and will engage young adults 18-22 participants in activities that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, build green infrastructure, and improve community resilience to climate disasters. The program will prioritize environmental justice strategies for low-income communities and communities of color who often face the worst effects of climate change.

Join the Maryland Climate Corps, a Service Year Option Program! The Maryland Climate Corps will offer paid service opportunities for Marylanders to get involved protecting their community from the impacts of climate change while receiving workforce training to access a green job or educational opportunity after their service.

Requirements

To be eligible for this program, you must have graduated from a Maryland or GED program within the past four years (Class of 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024). If you are interested in joining the Maryland Climate Corps please apply through our Maryland Corps/Service Year Option application portal and indicate your interest in working on climate issues.

Preferred qualifications

No experience required.
