You will assist biologists and natural resources managers, by conducting non-native invasive plant monitoring and control, and by performing invasive plant control. You will be performing data entry, data analysis, while conducting GPS mapping, GIS data management, and map production.
Opportunity description
You will assist managers, by conducting non-native invasive plant monitoring and control, and by performing invasive plant control. You will be performing data entry, data analysis, while conducting GPS mapping, GIS data management, and map production. You will also complete reports or other documents related to natural resource management projects. This position will involve more seed collection than invasive plant elimination, but interns should anticipate a variety of assignments.

Requirements
This position is based in Anchorage with frequent visits to National Park units with the state, particularly those on the road system. Applicants should be comfortable operating vehicles with trailers, and with camping and traveling in the backcountry. Applicants should be comfortable around herbicide.
Preferred qualifications
Driver's license required.
