Project summary

Fellows are placed at a critical energy organization to contribute to projects that help electrify transportation and industry as well as decarbonize the power system and make it more resilient, equitable, and inclusive. Projects may address distributed energy, electrification, equity and energy justice, grid resilience and modernization, energy regulation, and tribal energy. Fellows will have a mentor at their host institution who provides project guidance and professional development support.

Opportunity description

Fellows serve one-year terms with the option to renew for a second year and are supported with mentorship and funding for professional development. Project activities may include energy-related data analysis and modeling, program development, and stakeholder engagement. This position will have up to 75 openings. Fellows may be onsite with their host institution anywhere in the U.S., participate remotely, or a hybrid of onsite and remote.

Requirements and qualifications

Requirements

College degree (Bachelor's, masters, doctoral). Interest in areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, and/or sustainable transportation technology and policy. electric grid resilience and modernization. and Tribal energy deployment.

Preferred qualifications

No experience required but familiarity with energy issues. policies. and programs a plus. successful fellows are highly motivated and take initiative.
