Make a difference, and make a better future for yourself at Mile High Youth Corps. We are a group of young people who are focused on combating Climate Change and educating ourselves on the issues that face our community.

Opportunity description

Join us for our 2024 Climate Corps- Energy & Water Conservation program! The Energy & Water Conservation program (E&W) is a team-based, 26 or 35 week program for individuals between the ages 18-24. E&W participants (called Corpsmembers) serve on community-based energy and water conservation projects throughout the Denver metro area. Corpsmembers will be enrolled in AmeriCorps—a national community service program.

Requirements and qualifications

Requirements

Between 18-24 years old. Must be eligible for enrollment in AmeriCorps as a US Citizen, National, or Lawful Permanent Resident. Documentation will be required on the first day. High School diploma or currently working towards GED/ Equivalency required. English proficiency. Capable of participating in physical labor including but not limited to: ability to lift 50 lbs, able to conduct repetitive hand and arm motions. Significant walking. Access to a vehicle.

Preferred qualifications

Bilingual. Spanish speaking applicants strongly encouraged to apply.
