Project summary
This project will focus on field work related to riparian habitat restoration within the Hangman Creek Watershed. The project implements and provides support to conduct weed control, ground preparation, riparian plantings, irrigation, maintenance and monitoring. Work will include other projects that involves collecting hydrologic and habitat data, ground water monitoring, stream bank stabilization projects, and beaver dam analog installation.
Opportunity description
This position provides individuals with service and career opportunities to strengthen communities and preserve our natural resources. Participants serve locally with a partner agency completing identified in the project description. Participants receive daily supervision from a local mentor who works with the partner agency and overall support from Conservation Legacy staff. Service is generally 8-5 Monday – Friday but may vary. There is one opportunity under this announcement.

Requirements and qualifications
Requirements
Age between the ages of 18 and 30 w/maximum 35 for Veterans with DD-214. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Agree to be substance free. Valid Driver's License.
Preferred qualifications
Interest in stewardship. Ability to work well with others. Other qualifications as outlined in detailed announcement.
