Project summary
Engaging emerging adults aged 16-24 years old in restoration and community access projects on public land throughout Dane County, WI. Work includes invasive species removal, native seed collection, planting of native trees and other plants, trail building/maintenance, rain garden construction/maintenance, and wetland and oak savannah restoration on county and city public lands.
Opportunity description
Service with other The Corps Network AmeriCorps members to assist in conservation projects including development or repair of trails, restoration of prairie, wetland and oak savannah habitats, invasive species removal/treatment, and/or native grass and wildflower seed collection. Develop a personal educational plan; accomplish goals including High School diploma (or equivalency) attainment as well as post-secondary education and other professional development.

Requirements
High School diploma. US citizen, national, or legal permanent resident. Must be able to complete a federal background check. Valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle.
Preferred qualifications
No experience required. We prepare our graduates for careers beyond conservation, no required interest in a conservation career.
