The Role:
We are currently seeking a full-time Windows Server, Azure AD and VMware Administrator who can thrive in a team setting and is passionate about delivering quality work and exceptional service. Our Administrator will perform server administration and planning in a Microsoft Azure AD, O365 and Server 2016 and 2019 environment, including creating and administrating organizational units and group policy objects, OS security patches, and MFA and endpoint security. Our Server Administrator will also manage and configure VMware, Virtual Center, and perform server infrastructure performance analysis. Includes server and application provisioning in AWS for Linux applications.
Operation and maintenance of Windows server systems running Windows MS Server (2019, 2016, 2012)
Resolve Azure AD issues relating to Office 365 and Active Directory
Build and administer multiple VMware products across cloud and on-premise environments.
Operation and maintenance of the enterprise VMware environment
Install and manage security reporting tools to monitor any Active Directory changes
Plan and manage all the migrations and upgrades related to Active Directory and Domain controllers
Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans
Operation of Windows Active Directory infrastructures, DNS and user administration
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging tools and technologies
Research, evaluate and recommend technologies to support business requirements
Rigorously create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures
Provide tier II support for the IT Service Desk
Provide emergency 24 x 7 on-call support on a rotating basis
PREFERRED EDUCATION and Qualifications:
- Degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related work experience (relevant experience - field preferred – and education may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Server Administration. At least 2-3 years of experience working with server hardware, Windows and Linux OS and server provisioning, including maintenance and upgrades.
- Experience working with Linux and Windows servers, firewalls and network monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of network switching, routing and routing protocols, and DNS.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills and apply them as needed.
- Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
