The PV CENTRAL ENGINEERING Department, aligned with EDP Comercial, is hiring a Service Manager_Solar Photovoltaic B2B. It´s mission is to boost the growth of energy services in the B2B segment in Europe, through the provision of a power engineering service excellence that responds to the specific needs of customers and EDP Comercial, aligned with the defined strategic objectives.
Job Description:
Focusing on the Solar Photovoltaic for Self-Consumption (UPACs) market in B2B customers, the technical function aims to:
- Qualify commercial opportunities taking into account their technical feasibility;
- Visit industrial/commercial facilities of B2B customers, with LV, MV or HV supply voltage levels:
- Technically assess the feasibility of implementing UPACs;
- Definition of the execution project (follow-up with suppliers / construction management teams)
- Technically develop and budget projects with installed capacity above 1MWp, collaborating in the negotiation with suppliers and dialoguing with the technical teams of Customers, Suppliers and Construction Management;
- Participate in the development of internal initiatives such as: definition of technical standards transversal to the European Platform, elaboration of new technical specifications, analysis of new products, technical clarifications, etc.;
- Manage the preparation of the execution projects of the UPACs, in the various specialties involved, and the certification/licensing processes with the competent entities (DGEG, City Councils, APA, CCDR, Network Operator, etc.)
- Validate and prepare detailed designs, technical specifications, RFP's.
- Support the Construction Management in clarifying doubts in the implementation phase of the designed solutions;
- To be informed of regulatory changes, including technical rules of the sector;
- Seek information and keep up to date with technological and market trends;
- Collaborate in the evaluation and selection of equipment and suppliers, in order to maximize the quality and competitiveness of the offer/projects.
Who are we looking for:
- Bachelor or Integrated Masters on Electrotechnical Engineering, Mechanical or equivalent;
- Professional experience between 4 and 8 years in areas related to the electricity sector;
- Experience in the development of photovoltaic solar projects, such as Micro/Mini-Generation, UPACs, UPPs for industrial, commercial and service customers and/or for Utility Scale plants;
- Experience with electrotechnical projects;
- Experience in technical functions (design, construction, consultancy);
- Mastery of the legislation, regulations and norms in force in the sector, focusing on DL162/2019, DL 76/2019 and RTIEBT;
- Portuguese and English, spoken and written (mandatory); Spanish (valued);
- Good problem-solving skills, critical and constructive thinking;
- Analytical skills and structured though process, willingness to challenge and to propose creative solutions;
- Good interpersonal and communications skills, team work-oriented.
