Extending close date until 5/2/2024 MAJOR DUTIES: This position serves as the Seasonal Audio-Visual Technology Specialist in the Division of Museum Services and Interpretation of Gateway Arch National Park in St. Louis, Missouri. The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the maintenance of the audiovisual displays and exhibits located in the park's state-of-the-art museum and theatre during the park's busy summer season. Position is responsible for applying knowledge of audiovisual technology and exhibit maintenance concepts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve very basic audiovisual issues and assist the completion of a variety of well-precedented projects and assignments in support of the Division of Museum Services and Interpretation, as well as park partners. Physical Demands: The work requires standing for long periods of time, walking for long distances, climbing and descending steep inclines, bending, and lifting moderately heavy items. Mental stress and physical fatigue occur due to high volume of personal contacts, occasional emergency responses, and repetitive nature of interpretive programs. Working Environment: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors resulting in exposure to a variety of weather conditions. Area Information: NO Government Housing is available.
