JOB SUMMARY: These positions are located in the National Park Services, in the Partnerships and Civic Engagement Division. The purpose of this position is to provide oversight of a team supporting the implementation of the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) State & Local Assistance and Urban Park and Recreation Recovery (UPARR) Programs. MAJOR DUTIES: The major duties of the Supervisory Outdoor Recreation Planner position include, but are not limited to, the following: Team Leadership and Supervisory Management -- Provides supervision of Program Officer staff and multiple-disciplinary teams including setting priorities, monitoring, and ensuring employee work and responsibilities are accomplishing the goals of the program. Partnering -- Cultivates partnerships and collaborates with state and local government partners to support the development and expansion of outdoor recreation areas and opportunities. Project review and monitoring: Reviews and recommends outdoor recreation grant project applications for funding, evaluates completeness, adherence to program policies and requirements and negotiates changes and monitors project execution. Supports program reviews for consistency with applicable laws, regulations, program policy, guidance and procedures.
