JOB SUMMARY: The incumbent serves as the Resources Management Chief stationed in Beach Lake, Pennsylvania and is responsible for providing the overall direction and supervision for the management of day-to-day operations and resources management/protection. The incumbent is the senior principal advisor in the management of cultural and natural resources. The incumbent reports directly to the Superintendent (GS-14). MAJOR DUTIES: Major Duties: The incumbent serves as the Integrated Resource Management Program Manager stationed in Beach Lake, Pennsylvania and is responsible for providing the overall direction and supervision for the management of day-to-day operations and resources management/protection. They serve as the senior principal advisor in the management of cultural and natural resources at Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. The incumbent is responsible for carrying out a multi-year and multi-disciplinary, fully integrated natural and cultural resource management program for the park involving sensitive and multi-faceted issues that may impact a wide variety of natural and cultural resources and internal and external interests/organizations. They coordinate and manage the work of a team who carries out natural and cultural program activities, including long-range monitoring of water and air quality; inventory and monitoring of plant and animal species; archeology; ethnography; museum collection management; historic preservation; cultural landscape management; scientific data management including geographic information systems; and environmental compliance.
