Open to all U.S. citizens under: USGS-RES-24-12364173-DE-DW MAJOR DUTIES: As a Supervisory Hydrologist for the Investigations Branch of the New Jersey Water Science Center, some of your specific duties will include: Serve as principal liaison with cooperators and stakeholder as a primary scientific program representative for the New Jersey Water Science Center. Work with Water Science Center Director and Investigations Branch Chief (Associate Director) on matters concerning hydrologic studies sharing in the planning, development, and direction of new water resources studies. Responsible for oversight and coordination of an Investigations section, supervising and assigning work tasks for a team of professional and technical personnel in support of scientific water-resources investigations and data-collection activities. Conduct and participate in complex technical aspects of water-resources investigations, particularly in areas involving water monitoring, characterization, and transport modeling. Review reports prepared in the section for editorial correctness and assures technical accuracy. Oversee the development of innovative communication tools and programmatic material.
