Overall, Purpose of this Job:
This role requires a high aptitude in the following skills\: leadership, people management, project management methodologies & fundamentals (FPX preferred), data & project metric analysis, business process improvement, influencing, and senior leader communication. The selected individual will be highly focused and self-directed to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of projects and programs in accordance with defined scope and objectives as an individual contributor and/or by leading a team of consultants or internal project leaders who are executing the day-to-day project management.
The role will report into the Head of Project Management for the VCM Project Management Organization and will work in a close collaboration with peer PPL’s and sponsors.
The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
- Strategy Development\: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and refine sustainability strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
- Project Oversight\: Provide leadership and direction to the sustainability projects coordination team. Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Stakeholder Engagement\: Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional teams in IMSC, IMPO, IM Commercial as well as regulatory bodies, suppliers, and community partners. Engage stakeholders to drive collaboration, gather input, and gain support for sustainability initiatives.
- Performance Monitoring\: Develop and implement performance metrics and tracking systems to measure the impact and progress of sustainability projects. Regularly report on project status, key milestones, and outcomes to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Risk Management\: Identify potential risks and issues associated with sustainability projects and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. Monitor project risks and adjust plans accordingly to ensure successful outcomes.
- Compliance and Reporting\: Stay up-to-date with relevant sustainability trends, regulations, and reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. Prepare and submit accurate and timely sustainability reports to internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
- Team Leadership\: Motivate, mentor, and guide the sustainability projects coordination team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance and individual growth.
- Has the ability to be flexible in role and lead projects and/or programs across multiple workstreams.
