Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an Entry Level Environmental Engineer, Civil Engineer, or Geologist to join our team in Irvine, CA. While this position requires both field and office work, the candidate should expect to spend up to 75% of their time in the field. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop technical skills, and contribute to projects related to remediation systems operations and maintenance, soil vapor extraction (SVE), groundwater extraction (GWE), air sparging, injections for environmental remediation, drilling oversight and monitoring well installation.
This role sits within our Environmental Team, as part of the Environmental Team you’ll help render services to clients related to their obligations to maintain or improve environmental quality associated with their capital projects, ongoing operations, or legacy operations.

Role accountabilities:
- Perform fieldwork which may include drilling oversight for soil sampling and/or groundwater well installation, groundwater sampling, excavation oversight, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys.
- Assist Project Managers (PMs) and Task Managers (TMs) with planning environmental investigation and remediation tasks.
- Implementation of injection or other in-situ based remedial technologies.
- Field data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required
- A B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or related field
Preferred
- One (1) year of experience in the environmental consulting industry
- HAZWOPER Certification
