Summary
As the Sustainability Director at DSV, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of sustainability initiatives to drive environmental and social responsibility within the transportation and logistics operations. You will develop and implement sustainability strategies, policies, and programs to achieve corporate sustainability goals and promote sustainable business practices across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with corporate objectives and industry best practices.
• Identify key sustainability focus areas, set goals, and establish metrics for tracking progress and performance.
• Formulate and implement sustainability policies, standards, and guidelines to guide business operations and decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to environmental protection and social responsibility.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, employees, customers, suppliers, and community organizations, to build partnerships and drive collective action on sustainability.
• Represent the organization in sustainability-related forums, conferences, and industry associations.
• Lead initiatives to minimize environmental impact and promote resource efficiency across operations, including energy conservation, waste reduction, and emissions reduction.
• Oversee environmental assessments, audits, and reporting to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement programs to promote social responsibility and ethical business practices, including employee welfare, community engagement, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Foster a culture of responsibility and ethical conduct throughout the organization.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and evaluate sustainability performance.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on sustainability progress, achievements, and challenges for management and stakeholders.
• Identify sustainability risks and vulnerabilities in operations and supply chain, and develop strategies to mitigate and manage risks effectively.
• Implement controls and measures to prevent compliance breaches and ensure operational resilience.
• Drive continuous improvement in sustainability practices and initiatives through innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
• Implement best practices and lessons learned to optimize sustainability performance and outcomes.
Educational background / Work experience
• Master's degree or higher in environmental science, sustainability management, business administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in sustainability or environmental management are preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in sustainability leadership roles, with a demonstrated track record of developing and implementing sustainability strategies and programs in large organizations.

Preferred Qualifications
• Professional certifications in sustainability (e.g., CSR-P, LEED AP, GSCP).
• Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., CDP, GRI).
• Familiarity with supply chain sustainability and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
Language skills
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Familiarity with sustainability management software and tools for data tracking, reporting, and analysis
For this position, the expected base pay is: $153,000 - $229,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
