Sustainability Manager
We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Sustainability
Manager to join our market-leading environmental-focused business.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Working at a senior level to plan, coordinate and strategise the
company’s ESG initiatives and commitments; including creating annual ESG
reports, supporting client teams with ESG input for tenders and
proposals and managing the Social Value team to deliver on commitments.
- Delivering sustainability training, educate our people to embed a culture of understanding and affect behaviour change.
- Improving awareness of circular economy with stakeholders and supporting the business to find viable solutions.
- Writing and publishing of company policies in line with the ESG
strategy, ensuring clear communication and training is delivered to all
relevant stakeholders.
- Identifying grant and funding opportunities to support our goals and ambitions.
- Identifying opportunities for business recognition such as local and
nationwide awards and accolades, supporting with submission input from
an ESG perspective.
- Working closely with the marketing team on internal and external
communications to engage our colleagues, clients and communities in the
work that we are doing.
- Managing budgetary spending for all ESG commitments and deliveries
- Engaging with external consultants and partners to manage a range of projects that lead to carbon reduction.
- Monitoring and measuring carbon emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3 in line with the GHG Protocol
- Working alongside the HSEQ team to maintain our ISO14001 certification.
- Working alongside the senior leadership team to deliver against sustainable procurement practices

Experience / Qualifications
- Understanding of ISO14001 & ISO1064; preferred but not essential
- IEMA or similar relevant qualification(s)
- Sound knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations
- Sound understanding of carbon emission reporting and implementing reduction initiatives
- Previous experience in a similar role
