The Safe Environment Coordinator for the Diocese of Jefferson City, working with the Director of Safe Environment, supports and assists the Diocese's parishes, schools, departments, and facilities in their implementation of the Diocese's safe environment program in accordance with the United States Catholic Conference of Bishop's Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People.
Related duties include:
* Updates safe environment database records of employees and volunteers
* Performs data entry of Family Care Safety Registry forms and research into confidential criminal background checks
* Prepares and collaborates with parish staff for onsite parish audits
* Registers new accounts and triages database inquiries from parishes and provides support
* Liaison with facilitators to set up in-person training sessions
* Monitors Diocesan employee and volunteer compliance with Safe Environment requirements, working regularly with Virtus, Selection and and Family Care Safety Registry to ensure accurate recordkeeping and current updates
