Planner
Transportation and Infrastructure – Philadelphia, PA
We currently have an opening for a Planner in our Transportation division to assist with transit and environmental initiatives. The position is based in our Philadelphia, PA office.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Serve as a Planner on multi-disciplinary transit and environmental projects
- Planning and implementation of a number of collaborative studies and projects for multiple clients
- Writing and editing technical reports, studies, and associated documents
- Working closely with STV team members and clients to prioritize and execute initiatives and activities
- Preparing for and attending meetings with clients, the public, and others
- Note-taking for project meetings, possibly at client locations
- Ability to independently conduct GIS spatial analyses
- Production of maps and graphics to support client deliverables and meetings
- Limited field work
- Time management skills to prioritize project scope activities, maintain project schedule, and stay within budget for individual tasks and deliverables.
- Proposal writing for future pursuits
The position would provide an immediate opportunity to work on some of the most transformative transit and environmental projects in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two (2) years of full-time professional planning experience
- Experience preparing transit studies highly preferred
- Experience with technical writing and/or cost estimating for proposals highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Degrees in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Public Administration, Geography, Architecture, or related fields are preferred
- AICP highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ArcGIS required. Proficiency in Adobe Suite strongly preferred
