Expro are currently recruiting for a Environmental Coordinator to join the Region QHSE team based in Aberdeen.
Overall Purpose of the Job
To provide environmental support whilst promoting safe, responsible, and compliant operations across the ESSA Region. Assist managers to ensure that QHSE methods and systems are implemented, used consistently, and monitored regularly and to provide support to managers and employees in relevant HSEQ matters.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Develop and coordinate Region Environmental Improvement Plans in collaboration with Area Management teams
- Provide cost benefit analysis of environmental initiatives along with forward forecasting of Green House Gas emissions
- Support the implementation of the Integrated Management System, in particular ISO 14001 standards
- Support the Region with the delivery of QHSE training
- Provide support to managers to ensure compliance with Expro HSEQ methods and systems and consistency of approach; may assist to identify local QHSE methods and systems as necessary
- Monitor and report on key QHSE performance indicators, preparing regular reports for Management
- Assist locations with QHSE audits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Support the awareness and implementation of Expro’s environmental strategy and approach to environmental management including the implementation of Expro’s Environmental Standards.
- Support managers in the delivery of QHSE targets and goals to ensure continuous awareness and improvement of key QHSE areas
- Support and participate in investigations to ensure accidents and near misses are reported, investigated and effective corrective action taken and closed out
- Monitor HSEQ performance and supports managers to comply with reporting requirements including Etrak reports, KPIs, planned HSE inspections etc; assist with effective dissemination of relevant QHSE information to relevant parties; update systems with information as required
- Conduct or arrange regular tours of worksite/offices to assist managers with identification and control of hazardous or unsafe conditions
- May be responsible for QHSE input to bids as required
- Arrange and contribute to QHSE meetings within the area of responsibility
- Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Expro’s reputation is minimised. If necessary, report possible violations or conflicts of interest.
- Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes and systems. Takes an active part in quality improvement processes. Identify and report any deficiencies to supervisor and obtain authorisation for any deviations from standard procedures.
- Actively comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Promote HSE awareness; take responsibility and be accountable for own safety and safety of others. Demonstrate the personal application of HSE procedures in daily performance and always follow the 12 Safety House Rules.
- Ensure objectives set under Employee Development Plan are met.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a QHSE environment
- Previous Environmental Management experience
- Environmental qualification
- Understanding of HSEQ management systems, including ISO 9001, 45001 & 14001
- Auditor Certificate
- Project Management experience
- Experience with Power BI
