Job Summary
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a world-class Sales Manager based in Japan and reporting to the Managing Director, Japan. In an industry that is reshaping the world’s energy future, there’s no better place to be.
The Sales Manager is the main contact point for Maxeon Dealer Partners, advocating for Maxeon's sales processes within partners' businesses. This role will require close collaboration with marketing, customer service, logistics, and finance teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Additionally, the Sales Manager will be responsible for driving partner training, gathering feedback on products and services, gathering market intelligence, and contributing to product improvements. You’ll be responsible for:
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales target.
- Cultivate strong partnerships to position Maxeon products and services as central to partners' market strategies.
- Provide training to partners on company offerings, processes, and technologies.
- Help the partner network implement tools to leverage Maxeon's advantages and increase sales to the end customer.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships, as needed.
- Manage sales pricing and receivables to pre-defined targets.
- Manage communication with partners regarding pricing, new products, and announcements. Ensure precise documentation of customer communications.
- Drive partners complaints to resolution and solicit partner feedback for product improvements.
- Gather market insights from partners and conduct analysis of market trends and competitive product landscape.
- Implement a comprehensive sales forecasting system across the customer base and monitor metrics to assess partner performance.
You should bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional background
- With 4+ years of sales, marketing, or business development experience with high-value products and services; familiarity with the photovoltaic industry is a plus.
- Experience setting up and managing partner channels and proven ability to drive aggressive sales growth and meet targets.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of taking swift actions and adapting promptly to business demands or directives. Passionate to learn new technology.
- Proficient in Japanese language.
- Enthusiastic about contributing to a rapidly expanding business with opportunities for advancement.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Proven success working with an independent partner network.
It would be Nice if You Have:
- Experience in marketing premium products to end consumers.
- Can effectively demonstrate skills within a dealer/partner channel, serving as a gateway to the market.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English, with a recommended TOEIC score of 700+.
- Proficient in MS Office
