Position Overview
Assigning task to each Crane Management team members for each project to ensure a balanced workload.
Ensuring the Crane Management share point tracker that is used for the Power BI app is up to date and all projects are being inputted into the share point timely and properly.
Working with procurement on any CRFQBA revisions
Ensure the team is up to date on procurement trainings and delegated buyer status.
Relocation will not be offered for this role.
Heavy Lifts Project Specialist- Crane Management Lead
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance for negotiations with suppliers.
Standardize the processes and ensure consistency of bid analysis.
Assist procurement in MSA negotiations with suppliers.
Assist procurement with onboarding of new potential suppliers.
Assist procurement with vetting and audits for new suppliers.
Schedule supplier first service audits with EHS, SWT of suppliers working for SGRE, and ensure compliance with safety trainings.
Ownership of the Crane Package template edits/revisions.
Review of crane packages from suppliers and ensure compliance.
Assist PMs with invoice negotiations and review as needed.
Assist with training new hires.
Ability to understand functionality, capability, lift chart, and technical side of a multitude of conventional and craneless cranes
Must be able to read, interpret, and validate crane lift plans created to hoist Heavy Lift main components for accuracy and completeness
Thorough understanding and ability to assist Aftermarket and Project Managers with Crane Request Forms, RFQ’s, and bid analyses
Ability to receive multiple crane vendor quotes and develop an apples to apples bid analysis with complete accuracy that Heavy Lifts, Crane Management, District PM’s/Managers, Procurement, and Finance can rely upon
Ability to understand general contract knowledge with crane vendors
Must be able to understand, interpret, and apply OSHA, ANSI, and Siemens Gamesa safety policies as it applies to Crane Management
Work closely with Aftermarket group to develop multi-year crane pricing for multiple turbine platforms in a variety of locations be it for currently built or turbines still in design phase of varying heights
Contact approved/listed suppliers; maintain a good customer-supplier business relationship with the suppliers along with SGRE Procurement Group.
Lead projects in coordination with the District Project Managers: plan, schedule, execute/award, and track the progress of the projects. Update project status and data in a daily basis or when status changes.
Review trackers; conduct data analysis when required; prepare reports to your direct manager when required; suggest cost-saving ideas or propose risk mitigation plan.
Work closely with Quality and Procurement to evaluate suppliers’ portfolios and performance in a regular basis.
Maintain project documentations in a monthly basis in a shared drive to be always ready for audits or references.
Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions. Coordinate between stakeholders for problem resolving.
Review project documents and evaluate risks or opportunities. Provide suggestions to related stakeholders.
Contribute to the continuous improvement to the Heavy Lift group.
Manage strategic projects assigned by the management.
Participate in projects planning meetings and propose suggestions if necessary. Take meeting minutes when required.
Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills
CAPM or PMP Certification by PMI is a plus.
Advanced project financial knowledge
Technical documentation analysis; for crane lift plans and Heavy Lift Work Instructions
Time Management: Prioritize your tasks based on deadlines, importance, urgency, and the power-level of the requester.
Data Analysis: Understand data and how it has huge influence on decision making. Must have attention to details in collecting data to have high level of accuracy.
Expert in MS Excel: Tested knowledge in Pivot Table, creating trackers, creating charts, creating functional formulas, creating forms.
Communication skills: Understanding the business by understanding the importance of the project stakeholders. Stakeholders vary in personalities, interests, and backgrounds; therefore, understanding how to communicate with them is critical to our group’s success.
Organizational skills & Project documentations knowledge: Follow-up with stakeholders on tasks until completion; file project documentations as instructed by team lead; track project status until the project is completed and the cost is closed.
Problem-solving skills: Act in solving the problem the faster way possible then analyze the root-cause to come up with lesson learned and prevention plan.
Ability to write technical work instructions is a plus – might involve travel to field –.
Preferred Knowledge , Experience and Skills
Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in the field in Wind Energy is a plus.
Experience interacting with Heavy Lift Advanced Maintenance processes is a plus.
