Do you have profound knowledge of blade structures and materials? Can you take the lead and motivate a team of technicians, constantly aiming at completing your tasks in time to the right quality and safety standards?

You will work on different projects on our sites which means that you should expect up to 180 travel days per year. You will be hired from our office in either Japan, but where you live is not so important as you will be travelling. In this position you will work with at least one highly skilled Blade Technicians in a team where you will act as the Blade Supervisor, your knowledge of fibre, materials and repair methods are therefore essential.
Responsibilities
Combine your blade expertise and ability to supervise smaller teams
As Blade Technician, you will ensure that paint and fibre damages are repaired and evaluated on site. You will be responsible for the execution of various blade-related tasks within Blade Service, and blade repair projects throughout the Vestas WTG fleet in our ASP region.
You will also be responsible for:
- field repairs on/off shore and perform on-the-job guidance and quality control
- Evaluation and supervision of repair work of paint and fibre damages at the WTG's
- When relevant, submit detailed documentation of the damages to Technical Support to identify correct and optimal solutions
- Ensure that all work is delivered in accordance with relevant standards and work instructions
- Ensure that repair work is documented according to requirements and uploaded in Dynamics AX 365 (CRM)
Qualifications
Has good knowledge of blade structures and materials. You can take the lead and motivate your team to reach agreed goals in the right quality and safety-standards. You possess good business and process understanding and time management skills, and you are able to stay professional and determined even during hectic periods. As a person, you are hardworking and trustworthy with a positive and adaptive work style.
Competencies
We expect that you:
- IRATA rope access training Level 3 or 2
- Are focused on Heath, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Quality (QA/QC)
- Have training in and practical experience with WTG blade repair methods
- Possess good communication, administration, and English skills
- Have excellent people supervision and delegation skills
- Have focus on customer relations
- Have a clear continuous improvement mindset
