JOB SUMMARY: This position is in the Office of the Administrator (AO), Office of Civil Rights, Employment Complaints Resolution Staff. About AO. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. MAJOR DUTIES: You will: Analyze discrimination complaints filed within the Agency to determine acceptability of the complaint and review Reports of Investigations (ROIs) to ensure that an impartial, appropriate, and complete factual record is developed; Develop Final Agency Orders following decisions rendered by an Administrative Judge of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and provide technical assistance in regards to difficult cases (e.g., claims for compensatory damages, multiple claims/issues, class complaints); Work with the Assistant Director to develop Agency discrimination complaint process policies and strategic plans to ensure Employment Complaints Resolution Staff (ECRS) identifies and accomplishes its goals, objectives and mission; Provide guidance and assistance to employees and managers, including information on roles and responsibilities, EEO case law, theories of discrimination, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and remedies for resolving complaints.
