Salary: $135k – 150k with up to 15% Bonus

Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the commercial, project development and other internal teams to pursue contract opportunities (PPA, VPPA, M&A), and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to pursue transactions which contribute towards achieving commercial KPI’s and the overall goals of company.
- Work with team members to develop or contribute content for bi-weekly presentations, ad-hoc presentations, and reports.
- Research and support activities related to industry policy or regulatory issues that may have an impact on projects, understand and identify risk factors relevant to commercializing the project.
- Facilitate collection of market intel, industry trends and competitor activities.
- Lead and participate in initiating and advancing tasks forward related to commercialization, timelines, and deliverables supported by cross-functional teams.
- Lead and participate in discussions with internal teams, identifying project risk and stage of development so that a commercialization plan can be developed.
- Facilitate various internal governance or key decision point processes.
- Support the development of team KPI’s, participate in discussions related to other internal department KPI’s, including development of internal presentations and meetings with senior management and leadership.
- Lead department’s efforts to support data management and reporting within CRM and ProCore.
- Lead tracking of relevant market RFP’s, RFI’s and work with leadership to identify and qualify opportunities.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience, managing commercial and technical aspects of pursuing business opportunities or transactions.
- 3+ years of solar industry experience preferred; experience working for a Utility, IPP, or Developer is a plus.
- Experience with project management, managing time sensitive activities, coordinating commercial and technical submittals, or governance presentations.
- Must be self-motivated and be able to work both individually and/or in a collaborative team environment with minimal guidance.
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities, developing and maintaining internal and external relationships as new business opportunities are pursued.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to coordinate and communicate across a broad range of commercial and technical discussions.
- Results-oriented with a strong commitment to renewable energy and sustainability.
Location: Houston Office preferred, or Hybrid working may be acceptable for this role and will be looked at on a case-by-case basis. Position may require periodic travel for team meetings, events or determined on an as needed basis.
