About The Site:
The Auwahi Energy Center is a 24 MW wind power generation facility located in Maui Hawaii, utilizing SIEMENS SWT 3.0 DD turbine technology coupled with battery storage.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the facility's daily operation in a safe, environmentally sound manner, maintain regulatory compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations and associated permits.
- Manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation of multiple electrical generation facilities in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
- Manage and oversee the Environmental Compliance Team on location in a safe and environmentally manner.
- Recruit, select, train, and manage plant operating, maintenance, environmental, and administrative staff.
- Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets and periodic status reports.
- Interface and coordinate with local customers and suppliers.
- Procure parts, materials, services, and support resolution of technical issues.
- Monitors energy center performance, resolves abnormal conditions, manages, and directs policies and practices for continuous improvement.
- Responsible for public relations, community interaction, and local political issues that affect the business environment.
- Monitor energy center operations and personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Manage all aspects of energy center operation and maintenance, directly and through subordinates.
- Provide leadership, direction, and performance management of all energy center personnel.
- Ensure effective implementation and management of operating procedures and maintenance programs to achieve optimum availability and reliability performance.
- Direct and manage safety procedures and programs to achieve optimum safety performance.
- Ensure energy centers compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Review and manage all contracts pertaining to or affecting the energy centers business.
- Manage various reporting activities to corporate.
- Review, coordinate, and manage corporate initiatives to the energy center personnel.
- Direct impact on revenue, budget performance and business stability.
- Responsible for all issues regarding the energy center.
- Assist and support other wind development activities as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory/management experience.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
- Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks.
- Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous experience effectively leads, directs, and manages people working in supervisory, administrative, clerical, technical, and craft roles.
- Preferred education Bachelor's Degree OR 5 years of power energy center operations and maintenance experience
- Knowledge of and experience with the operation and maintenance of wind generating facilities, and other balance-of-energy center systems and equipment.
- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or skill trade environment equivalent to the trade in the renewable industry.
- Experience with preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, AC/DC systems and network communications and monitoring
- Experience with the operation of various SCADA systems
- Skilled in the use of various testing equipment and tooling
- Strong Analytical and Diagnostic capabilities to troubleshoot and correct problems found.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA, and other standard practices
- Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams / schematics. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Must have the ability to perform the following frequently: bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, stooping, overhead reaching, sitting, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling.
- Must have the ability to perform the following occasionally: typing/keyboarding, driving (car/equipment). Will be routinely (frequently) required to be on outdoor work site.

Salary Range
Salary range: $160,000 - $172,000
