About the role:
Responsible for leading activities related to company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) in full compliance with local regulative requirements and corporate guidance for assigned company locations.
Maintains Agilent's EHS to insure the following outcomes:
Determines and develops approaches to assignments
Leaders EHS-related projects requiring coordination with other functions, third parties. And lead a Health officer on an occasion
Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity
Knowledge and experience supporting the lab, field service engineer, and Sales
Ensure fully compliance on relevant regulations including, but not limited to, the 'OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT' and 'ENFORCEMENT DECREE OF THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT'. Please refer to from 'ENFORCEMENT DECREE OF THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT' for the regulative scopes.
Lead and responsible for EHS Management System:
- Industrial Safety and Health Committee and periodical inspections
- Local regulations monitoring and compliant
- Manage EHS related operations, trainings, and stakeholder management, including:
- Chemical Purchase approver
- EHS documentation management
- Onsite response for Government agency's visit
- Hazardous waste management
- Annual Management review
- Emergency preparedness
- EHS Contractor management
- Response to EHS related customer-s enquiries
- Risk assessment and incident analysis
- Manage EHS related tools and equipment and overall working environment
- Communication with relevant business
- Working With closely with Global EHS team to meet corporate goals.
Provide Operations support:
- Inspection and management of the list of handling materials and hazardous substances Planning
- Special Safety education based on the handling of hazardous substances
About the Site:
- Agilent Seoul (leased site) is the HQ for Korea operations and is located in Kangnam, the middle of Seoul.
- In Korea, with a strong collaboration of each business such as LSAG, DGG, VPD, ACG, CLSD, and GIO, we have been striving to provide the professional services in the field of life science, chemical analysis, cancer diagnosis, maintenance contract consulting services, and consumable business, leading the customer success and growth.
- Agilent Korea has various labs that meet the following government standards in the Seoul site and one sales office which is located in southern Seoul.
- COE lab (AE + CLSD) / Cross lab / CSO Training lab / Daejeon sales office
Qualifications
Skills needed:
- Requires relevant in-depth knowledge and experience in job and ability to work independently
- Proficient in implementing comprehensive EHS management systems, conducting hazard and risk assessments and audits
- Demonstrates a high level of confidence, integrity, and motivation and comfortable making risk-based decisions in time sensitive situations
- Takes initiative and exhibits resourcefulness in problem solving; experienced in working in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills including presenting in group settings, professional writing and speaking capabilities
- Preferred ISO45001 qualifications
Experience required:
- Typically, with 2-5 years relevant experience for entry to this level
- Experienced in managing and representing safety documents under the 'OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT'
- Preferred with relevant experience within manufacturing and laboratory in a Life Science, Pharmaceutical or Chemical analysis industry

- Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent
- Either one or more of the following qualifications:
- A person who is qualified as an industrial safety instructor under Article 143 (1) of the Act
- A person who has obtained a qualification higher than an industrial safety engineer under the National Technology and Qualification Act
- Qualifications above construction safety industry engineers under the National Technology Qualification Act
A person who has obtained a degree in industrial safety from a four-year university or higher school under the Higher Education Act, or who has an educational background above this level.
