Job Summary
The role holder will support the Head Sustainability Strategy and Disclosures in the day-to-day process to facilitate the Group’s submissions for ESG reporting. This includes but is not limited to metrics tracked for internal purposes, external questionnaires or surveys, and regulatory or voluntary disclosure submissions.Additionally, the role holder will provide support to the Head, Global Sustainability Engagement and Disclosures on governance relating to commitments, including the Group’s Net Zero ambitions and implementation program.
Responsibilities
- Support in drafting the Bank’s response for key internal and external reporting.
- Support on assurance to sections of responses drafted by internal partners to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Manage the day-to-day process for commitments and review submissions for new commitments to ensure alignment with strategy prior to submission to the Sustainability Forum.
- Support the management of the process to facilitate commitments of the Bank.
- Support proper governance for processes owned by the Global Sustainability Engagement and Disclosures Team – this will include contributing to relevant policies and standards as well as process flows and departmental operating instructions.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Degree (BA or equivalent), preferably in a related discipline to Sustainability
- 4 + Years of Experience with reporting, both internal and external
- Experience and/or in-depth knowledge of frameworks (e.g. ISSB/IFRS/TCFD/TPT/TNFD)
- Experience in process improvement or process management.
- Strong understanding of banking industry trends in sustainability
- Very strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent presentation design skills (PowerPoint)
- Strong stakeholder management, engaging with a variety of stakeholders regularly
- Flexible and resilient, able to work in ambiguous situations to deliver on time
- Team focused, able to contribute to positive working relationships and collaboration across teams
Role Specific Technical Competencies
- Support the Head, Global Sustainability Engagement and Disclosures in governance and process relating to the embedding of key sustainability aspirations, including the Group’s Net Zero programme. This will include contributions to process design, policy and facilitating consultations with key internal stakeholders.
- Support the embedding of the Sustainability Agenda across the Group by sharing relevant updates and information with internal stakeholders within CSO organisation and beyond.
- Stay informed on latest industry developments on ESG reporting and share relevant information with internal stakeholders.
- Help to coordinate submissions of key internal and external reporting across internal stakeholders. Track and monitor progress and report to senior stakeholders on a timely basis.
