Environmental Engineer - Air Monitoring
JOB SUMMARY: A staff level position that ensures all control, monitoring, record keeping, and reporting requirements related to the area of responsibility are satisfied. Maintains internal relationships with refinery personnel and establishes external relationships with regulatory representatives. Interact with agencies, consulting firms, and contractors as a Project Manager. Ensure compliance by developing and/or implementing compliance systems and tools. This position has responsibilities at PBF’s two Northeast Refineries and involves rotational on-call.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Air emission monitoring and reporting (State Emission Inventory Reporting, Green House Gas (GHG), Emissions Inventory, SARA Tier III, ACID Rain Program, RGGI)
- Familiarity with Federal Electronic Reporting Software including CROMERR, e-GGRT, ERT, and CAMD
- Actively participate in regulatory review of new regulations developing facility impact assessments
- Be a key team member for new EHS Management Systems
- Monitors and ensures key dates and/or milestones are achieved
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum five years relevant environmental experience in the petroleum refining or heavy petrochemical industry is preferred
- Knowledge of refinery processing units is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations is required
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals is required
- Must be proficient with basic computerized office systems such as Microsoft Office software applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
