GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager to support our environmental site investigation and remediation practice in our Norwood, MA office. The ideal candidate for this position will have direct environmental investigation and remediation experience and a desire to foster technical excellence and strong client relationships.
As an Environmental Project Manager, you will work with a team of professionals dedicated to providing high-level expertise on complex projects above, below, and at ground level. You will successfully execute all aspects of projects under the review and guidance of a company Principal. You will also participate in proposal, contract, and project performance phases, as well as being responsible for the day-to-day execution of technical and financial aspects of projects. You will also participate in marketing activities and networking events, and in the development and mentoring of junior staff.

Your Work Will Include:
- Managing projects and executing daily project activities
- Managing/executing field tasks while maintaining GZA’s high standards for safety
- Conducting internal and client communications along with the project Principal
- Monitoring teams for technical performance, contract compliance, and project budgets
- Providing business development support
- Preparing technical and cost proposals with Principal guidance and review
- Reviewing/writing technical reports with Principal guidance and review
- Project contractual and financial management
- Managing and mentoring junior staff
- Conducting/reviewing technical analyses/calculations
- Participating in meetings and agency consultation
What You Will Be Bringing:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (Master’s Degree is a plus)
- Experience at consulting engineering firms and fundamental knowledge of applicable laws in Massachusetts (experience in other states is a plus)
- Self-starter, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction
- Demonstrated professional judgment, consistency, strong attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality work products
- Demonstrated ability to perform independent analysis and problem solving
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of work place safety precautions
- Completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
- PE/PG or other professional registration strongly preferred
