UMIAQ Environmental, LLC (UMIAQ Environmental) is an independent Small Business Administration (SBA) Certified 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business, subsidiary company of the Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation (UIC) family of companies. UMIAQ Environmental provides a comprehensive suite of environmental consulting services, which include documentation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, construction and access permitting, environmental site assessments, stakeholder engagement, sampling and remediation of contaminated sites, management of hazardous waste, wetlands monitoring, and more. Our staff has decades of combined experience working in locations throughout Alaska.

This is a full-time position located in Anchorage, Alaska. UMIAQ Environmental’s main office is in Anchorage, from which our talented professional, technical, and seasonal staff lead projects throughout the State.
The Environmental Specialist’s goal is to support development of NEPA documents including Environmental Assessments, assist in research, develop permit packages, and support projects within UMIAQ Environmental. Essential to this role is a love of writing and strong communication skills.
