Project Manager
Greenway Solar Services is adding a project manager or assistant project manager to the team as we continue our mission of being a leader in energy management in the Midwest. We’re seeking capable, driven people to work with our customers and installation team, supporting both residential and commercial projects. The project manager is the primary point of contact with Greenway’s customers during the project. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service with high standards of quality, professionalism, and attention to detail that reflect the company’s core values and high standards as a premium solar installer.

Primary Role - How You will be Measured
As a solar project manager, you will be the primary point of contact between Greenway and our customers once the project begins. In addition to the specific responsibilities below, your role is to keep everyone involved in the project up to date, resolve customer questions ASAP and be highly responsive to customer and the install team’s needs. While the role requires many skills, being proactive and attentive to the customer relationship is paramount.
Greenway uses the Net Promoter Score (NPS) to measure customer satisfaction. Your performance and incentive pay will be judged on the basis of project NPS. Achieving a high NPS (8.0 or above on a 10-point scale) is the expectation.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for on-time project delivery, customer satisfaction, and the success of every project you are assigned.
- Plan job workload in advance and manage project and crew schedules.
- Ensure the right resources (dumpsters, equipment, etc.) are in place for efficient project completion.
- Clearly communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, general contractors, clients, and internal teams.
- Set expectations for each installation, including safety and code requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records such as timesheets, job logs, safety checklists, etc.
- Participating in project review meetings & communicating with project engineers and salespeople to improve project designs and sales processes.
- Analyze and control job expenses to meet budget requirements.
- Knowledgeable of all company policies and guarantees.
Qualifications
- Experience working in construction, electrical, or related fields preferred.
- At least 2 years’ work experience managing projects in some capacity.
- A PMP or similar certification is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills – must be able to demonstrate these skills through assessment and interviewing.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to complete Tesla training within 30 days of hire.
- Exceptional communications skills – orally and via written communications.
- High level of comfort with digital tools for project tracking and communications (MS Office, MS Teams, text, email etiquette, etc.).
- Punctual with a positive, brand forward attitude and team-focused.
- Growth oriented individual with the ability to develop the role as the company grows.
- Passionate about our company and desire to grow.
- Detail oriented and highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
- Solar experience a plus.
- Ability to handle and manage change effectively and efficiently.
- Strong time management, leadership, and organizational skills.
- A 2 or 4 year college degree is not required, but is preferred.

- You must be willing to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.
- Willingness to pursue additional formal project management training within 1-2 years.
- Valid MN driver’s license.
- Able to travel to job sites in Minnesota and regionally; occasional overnight travel may also be required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel.
- Willing to work overtime and outdoors in inclement weather.
- Work at height (roofs, ladders, etc.) and in confined spaces as needed.
