Our client is in the renewable energy business.
Main Purpose
Leading the development and execution of investment strategies for the company group including responsibility for governance and defining business investment processes, criteria, and alignment efforts across business units and subsidiaries to ensure consistency.
Principal Accountabilities
- Developing and cascading investment strategy plans for the group, overseeing analysis, evaluation, and monitoring of strategy implementation.
- Developing and defining investment governance processes to standardize decision-making criteria, while driving strict adherence across company units and subsidiaries.
- Establishing standards, manuals, and processes, including designing tools related to decision-making, analysis, evaluation, and governance.
- Conducting strategic analysis to ensure alignment with strategic plans, facilitating informed decision-making and approval processes (SIM).
- Analyzing and validating investment plans, and providing feedback to SIMC.
- Monitoring investment plan progress, analysing the impact of delays, and tracking actual performance against plans for reporting to SIMC.
- Serving as Secretary to the Investment Committee and managing investment analysis and decision-making processes (SIM Secretary).
- Compiling and maintaining company investment plan data, along with reporting on lessons learned to inform other projects.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational rules, establishing supportive frameworks and ensuring adherence within unit responsibilities, collecting and evaluating risk cases where units fail to comply, and providing legal/guideline advice to stakeholders. Review self-assessment results of unit performance to align with risk levels, and lead improvements, reporting results to governance structures as defined.
- Evaluating and developing risk management plans, establishing internal control standards, and developing and implementing continuous improvement plans in line with business continuity plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields (Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Administration).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in relevant areas related to investment management, with expertise in Strategic Investment.
- Strong knowledge of investment management frameworks/tools.
- Proficient in English and Thai language (TOEIC score of 700 or above).
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work well in a team.
- Analytical, logical, problem-solving, and systematic thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
- Creative thinking skills, good interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn and self-develop.
- Proficient in communication and presentation skills.
