Role Brief:
For our Nacelle Technical Support & Technology Transfer (TS&TT) department within SGRE, we are looking for a 8D and Problem Solving Engineer with a quality management profile. Our department is supporting both the Onshore and Offshore platforms during serial production and technology transfers, making it important to be structured, conscious about quality and have a technical understanding to work within different environments and with different mindsets.
Amongst many things, the main responsibility of the department is, to support all the production lines in factories, to setup and lead task forces, to lead and finalize 8Ds, to coordinate the technology transfer projects of various products between sending and receiving plants, make sure smooth startup of the receiving factories as well as organizing the training of all the key participants in the production.
In close collaboration with various stakeholders from the Nacelles manufacturing facilities, you will be in the lead of 8Ds for Onshore and Offshore factories.
In addition to the above you will be responsible for the following:
- Analyze the new 8d´s escalated to cross functional continuous improvement team for acceptance and assignment to the different functions.
- Act as authority of the 8d´s quality gates approval of the 8d´s escalated to continuous improvement Team.
- Ensure 8d methodology is applied to the maximum extent.
- Focus on root cause analysis and problem-solving leading the process within the different functions (Technology, Supplier Quality, Operations, etc.) to solve the issues.
- Lead the problem solving for some of the 8ds escalated to Continuous improvement forum and coach rest of departments in the organization on problem solving
- Ensure the 8D methodology application to accelerate problem-solving and avoid problem reoccurrences.
- Engages with the wider Quality Organization to coordinate launch, management, and progress reporting of active CAPA (Corrective Action Preventive Actions) cases.
- Collaborates closely with other Quality functions to further develop methods and tools related to problem-solving and RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
- Drives and coaches general Quality projects related to Product continuous improvement Contributes to budget planning processes.
- Ensures effective cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders; clarifies issue

Qualifications and person specification
- Bachelor’s or master's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with relevant Quality methods, 8D or problem-solving experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma - Master Black Belt and 8D Methodology.
- Experienced in project management.
- High team spirit, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience in proactive and self-driven approach to the tasks and ownership.
- Available for frequent business travels to Europe
