The Fervo Bedrock Program is a cross-functional development program crafted to create the next generation of leaders in geothermal energy. Candidates will rotate through various Fervo departments to gain a holistic understanding of the development lifecycle and planning efforts. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be placed on a team based on best fit and desire.
Geothermal development is inherently a complex multi-disciplinary effort spanning fields such as geology, engineering (reservoir / drilling & completions / surface facilities), finance, policy, energy markets, land, supply chain and more. Alignment across each vertical is critical to the overall success of projects and most Fervo employees are well-versed in the intricacies of other team functions through constant collaboration and company-wide “knowledge shares”. The Fervo Bedrock Program takes cross-functional learning a step further and allows early career entrants to gain geothermal development experience from different functional groups in a full-time, dedicated role. This program should not be viewed as a one-way street; it is fully expected that candidates drive forward project delivery and improve processes within each functional team, irrespective of background. In fact, Fervo strongly believes that specialized teams can benefit from a set of fresh eyes and a persistent curiosity to question paradigms.
This program spans all departments and consists of four 6-month rotational assignments. Each assignment is tailored to your background and developmental goals and designed to challenge you, maximize your development, expose you to broad cross sections of Fervo Energy, and position you to serve as a catalyst for change and transformation. As a member of the Fervo Bedrock Program, you will be assigned an Executive Sponsor who will provide mentorship, support, guidance, and connections to help you succeed and maximize your potential.
