Position Summary
- The SE Tax & Customs Department operates as a discreet function within the Global Finance Department and is lead by the SVP Tax & Customs who is based in Paris
- SE Regional Tax VPs (Americas, EMEAS-Paris, APAC-Beijing) manage the tax operations in the three geographic regions
- The Americas Region is comprised of approximately 20 tax professionals with key market focus on the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil with collective sales of $12+ billion
- Lead all U.S. tax planning activity including restructuring, capital structure planning and debt/liquidity/dividend planning
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess domestic and international tax legislative developments potentially affecting tax profile
- Manage US international tax profile, including but not limited to GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, BEAT, 163(j), PTEP, FTC, CAMT and Pillar 2
- Lead U.S.-based M&A activity and coordinate with other regions in multi-country transactions
- Partner with key Schneider functions (Legal, M&A, Accounting, Treasury, Government Affairs) to provide consulting support, and enhance communication to help achieve Tax Department objectives
- Manage tax profile for Canada & Mexico operations
- Support application of transfer pricing policies & procedures
- Support/manage tax audits, especially IRS audit
- Develop knowledge of South America tax profile

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or a related field.
- At least 10+ years of relevant experience within a CPA or law firm, and/or corporate tax department
- In depth U.S. tax knowledge especially related to M&A projects and tax planning
- Experience with IRS, and other tax audits
- Ability to evaluate the implications of new legislation
Skills & Abilities
- Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues across different geographical boundaries
- Strong organizational, communication and writing skills
- Ability to manage others and demonstrate leadership
- Ability to manage the implementation of tax projects, working with other functions and advisors as appropriate
Preferences
- At least 15+ years of relevant experience within a CPA or law firm, and/or corporate tax department
- JD, CPA and/or Masters in Taxation
- Familiarity with Canadian, Mexican and South American tax rules
