What will you do?
- As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will be working on Low & Medium Voltage and custom Switchgear retro-fill projects. This will involve solving complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Key deliverables are the design of low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies/systems and associated equipment in compliance with IEEE/ANSI, IEC, UL, and NEC/NFPA 70E standards.
- Additionally, design and coordination of electrical control and protection schemes, including interfaces & interconnections for new, existing, retro-fill and/or retrofit applications.
- Project Management of project delivery and production/installation schedule, including:
- Initial quotation technical support
- Customer interaction and correspondence
- Approval Drawings
- Generation of electrical Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Production & on-site drawing/instruction packages
- Factory/on-site Acceptance Test Plans (ATPs)
- O&M manuals
- Submittals/deliverables & project close-out
- (As Needed) Support on-site installation, start-up and commissioning of switchgear line-ups and sub-assemblies for Utilities, high-demand industrial facilities (data centers, water treatment, production lines, etc.) - as required.
- Support of Production & Quality Assurance teams for manufacturing excellence.
- Design & technical support of protective relaying schemes for short circuit, coordination & arc flash studies.
- Support Sales team through site visits and customer job walks.
Required qualifications that will make you successful
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Understanding of IEEE/ANSI, IEC, UL, and NEC/NFPA 70E standards
- AUTOCAD (Electrical preferred)
- 5+ yrs. relevant experience with the ability to direct or lead projects
- Switchgear and 480V or above Power Distribution design experience
- Experience with 1 and 3-line diagrams
What will make you stand out?
- 5+ years of experience within an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Utility
- Design of power distribution with a minimum voltage of 480v
