Responsibilities: Act as a working supervisor on the catering service team within the Sales & Catering Department of the Saint Louis Zoo. Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to: event set-up and service, event coordination, attending logistics meetings, training of team members, serving as the point person for certain Zoo events, closing down events and enforcing Zoo policies. Work closely with Catering Manager and Assistant Manager on all aspects of the catering operation. Work closely with members of the Zoo’s Sales, Special Events and Culinary teams.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in related field preferred. Three to five (3-5) years’ catering or banquet experience in a supervisory role preferred. Must have superior people skills and must have an eye and orientation for quality. Ability to multi-task in a busy environment and to work a flexible schedule. Must be available to work days, weekends and evening events. Hours may vary according to season and business demand. All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check and drug test.
