In this role the Systems & Sustainability Analyst will be responsible for supporting field investigations, commissioning and training stakeholders on refrigeration, HVAC and control systems within our locations. Work with ALDI Facilities and Construction teams along with OEMs to coordinate implementation of strategic initiatives and support resolution of complex mechanical complications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with and educating/training others on refrigeration, HVAC and control systems, have an educational background in HVACR, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering. The objective of this role is to support and educate internal and external stakeholders on various technology deployed to our locations.

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organizes meetings with stakeholders and vendor partners regarding HVAC & Refrigeration equipment, building management control systems, refrigerant management software, computerized maintenance software for evaluating performance.
• Creates documentation, recommends course of action, and oversees creation of various efforts pertaining to departmental objectives.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure that departmental objectives are integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.
• Supports special projects as requested.
• Works with government officials, utility companies, and suppliers as needed on specific projects.
• Recommends, coordinates and provides on-going training as necessary with Operations, external teams, and internal team.
• Facilitates the communication between necessary departments, teams, and committee stakeholders.
• Advises on any changes or actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
• Supports and develops internal documentation to support Design and Engineering, Installation and Commissioning, Maintenance and Remote Monitoring and Training for all building types.
• Optimizes HVAC and Refrigeration equipment via building management control system.
• Identifies cost-saving opportunities in building operation.
• Creates and maintains department progress reports.
• Creates and maintains records of cost-savings opportunities and measures taken.
• Maintains accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation.
• Conducts regular reviews of market pricing for critical trades.
• Utilizes Energy Reports, Leak Reports and other KPI reports identifying non-conformities and takes action to mitigate unnecessary spend and develops new reports as needed.
• Ensures necessary departments and teams are notified of any equipment performance and quality concerns that should be evaluated in the tendering process.
• Supports remote review of asset performance to coordinates and recommends asset disposal and replacements per equipment guidelines, as well as supports warranty management on building and equipment assets.
• Designs projects, develops process documentation, proactive reporting schedules and supervise projects from implementation through delivery.
• Designs, conducts, tests, evaluates results, creates active monitoring tools, and recommends ongoing process or operational changes.
• Develops internal and external Standard Operating Procedures as they relate to use of HVAC & Refrigeration equipment, building management control systems, refrigerant management software and computerized maintenance software.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data from HVAC & Refrigeration equipment, building management control systems, refrigerant management software and computerized maintenance software for identifying anomalies and determining corrective measures.
• Researches and develops HVAC & Refrigeration equipment, building management control systems, refrigerant management software and computerized maintenance software project feasibility and develops success criteria and proposed advancement in area of responsibility.
• Develops and maintains standardized metrics and key-performance indicators for effectively evaluating vendor, building, equipment and software performance.
• Maintains and improves organization of research for CR trends, supports the development of CR reporting, benchmarking, and competitor activity; shares and discusses findings, in development of ALDI’s National and International Action Plans.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in regards to HVAC & Refrigeration, building management control systems, refrigeration management software and computerized maintenance software.
• Leverages building management control system to drive efficiencies and reduce expenses related to all mechanical equipment within store locations.
• Assists in training and developing team members to retain a motivated and professional workforce.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
• Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.
